BYK, who started to watch and examine his environment after his
birth in the given date with several difficulties, had
rescued his family from the oppression of reading stories
to him every-night by learning to read and write with the help of the famous
TV show "Wheel of Fortune" when he was 5 years old.
In the following years with some help of his dear father, he learnt to write silly programs with BASIC on his newly bought C64. Although the programs were silly, they were his programs and they were not to be despised. The fact was that there was a 9 year old boy who was too lazy to make some calculations and for this, tried to convince his computer to do this pointless job for him.
After realizing that BASIC was a bit "old-fashioned", he decided to learn HTML and JavaScript. When he became aware of that he could make the browser do anything he wants with JavaScript, it was time to make some effort to get a good grade from the high school placement examination. So he built up a social sciences test, which was the most disgusting subject for him to study, to make him study on the subject with more pleasure.
While he was still in the amazement of what he had done with JavaScript, which was actually a foolish pride, he met a half-mad boy who introduced Delphi and Assembly to BYK. After the dark day which he learnt Delphi and Assembly's existence, BYK made an award winning encryption program, called NT-Cryptor, at high school.
The unsuccessful attempt to get a good result from the university placement examination without a considerable study, gave him a good and free year both for studying hard for the next years' examination and for the development of the remote administration and sharing program, called NT-Ahtapot*. He also wrote some articles to BYTE Online, which is a computer magazine's web site in Turkey, during this period.
Nowadays going mad while studying at Middle East Technical University's Mechanical Engineering Department and doing some projects for E-Quality Enterprise Software System Solutions keeps him busy but he also continues to develop his own projects with his dearest friends, under the name of amplio-Vita.
*Ahtapot means "octopus" in English.
